Like it or not, the drone of

planes taking off and landing

at Tegel is undoubtedly a significant

part of the airport‘s

presence and these noises will

vanish with its closing.

Transposed into a score by

Barbara Morgenstern and

Philipp Neumann is the drone

created by one plane landing

and taking off. The Choir

of World Cultures from Berlin

kindly donated its time to

perform this drone, and were

filmed doing so. The score 

makes it possible to recreate

the comforting noise that will

be lost forever when Tegel

closes.
